As was officially announced yesterday, Kobe Bryant has won the MVP award this year. The hardware may already be his, but here is why Kobe is not the NBA’s Most Valuable Player.

Playoff Penguins 2008

The Pittsburgh Penguins have won all six of their playoff games this season. After sweeping last year’s Eastern Conference champion Ottawa Senators, the Pens are now up 2-0 on the New York Rangers. I attended the second game of the series, and the electric atmosphere inspired me to write about the Penguins success.

In probably the most exciting, nail-biting NCAA basketball final that I have ever witnessed, Kansas outlasted Memphis to claim the 2008 National Title. Kansas gets the victory, but this also means there was a winner in the 2008 Bracket Challenge.

With last night’s Final Four games played, only two teams are left standing: Memphis and Kansas. These two schools will battle for the national title tomorrow (Monday) night. Herein are my thoughts on the beat-downs that occurred yesterday and the championship that is to come.
