84 Upcoming Comic Movies +

It is crazy to think that a few years ago I was excited because Spider-Man finally made it to the big screen. Now look at the number of comic/superhero movies that are going to hit theaters in the next few years. Most anticipated from that list: Runaways, Avengers, Y: The Last Man, The Flash and Green Lantern. I really hope they can do those last two right.

Barry, Come Back to ESPN +

Barry Melrose was let go from the Lightning after a disappointing first 16 games. Hopefully this signals his return to hockey analysis on ESPN, which has been sorely lacking lately.

Only About Five Months Late +

Last night’s Penguins victory over the Red Wings is already a candidate for best NHL game of the year. Jordan Staal scored a hat trick in the third to send the game into OT, then added on the game winning assist to overcome Detroit.

Quantum of Solace Comes Out Friday +

I know, it crept up on me too. I totally forgot it was coming out so soon. Heavily anticipating this one after Casino Royale.

Roethlisberger Has MRI +

After the great Steelers win against Washington on Election Eve, the worrying has begun. It is clear that Roethlisberger has not been himself lately, and I wonder if that separated shoulder he has been playing with this entire season was more serious than we initially were led to believe.

Kobe Bryant: Guitar Hero +

Absolutely love this commercial. It also features Alex Rodriguez, Michael Phelps, and Tony Hawk, but Kobe steals the show.

On Greg Oden’s Debut +

Greg Oden, the overall number one pick in the 2007 NBA draft, made his debut last night. Unfortunately, his first NBA game was cut short by injury. After playing with a broken hand for part of his college career and missing all of last season after knee surgery, this injury is not a good sign.

I, like most, am rooting for Oden’s success. I just hope his body can hold up at this level of competition. If he remains this fragile for his career it will be a shame, because when healthy he has the potential to be a Hall of Fame center.

Oh Snap +

I cannot find the exact stat but it was something to the tune of the following: Roethlisberger dropped back 36 times, was sacked 4 times and was hit 18 times. That means over 50% of his dropbacks the defense is getting through.

Add that to the injury to long snapper Greg Warren which led to the Harrison instant safety snap and…well it is not hard to see why the Giants were able to come back. If we had an offensive line there is absolutely no question in my mind that the Pittsburgh Steelers would be the best team in the NFL.
