Album Review: Kanye West – Graduation

After first Dropping out of College, and then Registering a bit Late, Kanye West has finally Graduated. Though he would like you to believe this education has been for the better, it has been nothing but a regression. As far as I am concerned, he should never have enrolled. Read on »

Film Review: Transformers

With the recent resurgence of eighties franchises and their silver screen updates, it is no surprise that the eighteen-wheeler-robot-led Transformers was chosen to get a modern retelling. Though the cartoon and action figure collaborative took place almost twenty years ago, the concept of robots in a Michael Bay disguise was just appealing enough to receive a 150 million dollar budget. Is there more than meets the eye? Read on »

Film Review: Sunshine

With a very small release and a low amount of buzz, Sunshine is going to have a hard time succeeding financially. With its independent feel and lack of any big name actors, it will surely get lost in the shuffle what was the monstrous movie summer of 2007. Though it may be overlooked by most, the few who do view it will be rewarded with one of the most satisfying and definitely the most intense movie of the summer. Read on »

Film Review: The Bourne Ultimatum

In the world of film, sequels rarely do their predecessors justice. The Matrix is a great example of a great film with sequels gone wrong. Film Review: Shoot ‘Em Up

The recently released Shoot ‘Em Up, starring Clive Owen and Paul Giamatti, is a film that stays true to its name. It is the latest film to abandon story in favor of mindless action, hoping to entertain so much that viewers can turn off their brains and ignore the missing elements. Is Shoot ‘Em Up the next Crank, or is it a cheap imitation? Read on »

Film Review: Crank

Put on some music. Seriously, either open up your music program and play something, or turn on your iPod and start listening. Now, turn the volume up until your ears start bleeding and do back flips across the room while consuming a mixture of Pixie Stix and caffeine pills. Oh, and scream whenever possible. You have created a rudimentary version of the movie Crank. Read on »

Album Review: Feist – The Reminder

I will go ahead and be honest: I had never heard of Feist before the iPod nano commercial either. I am in no way professing to be hip, trendy, or musically aware in any sense. All disclaimers aside, I will also admit that I found a new album that I have been playing non-stop since it entered my iTunes library. Read on »

Film Review: 300

Fighting, killing, and screaming: what more could a man want from a movie? 300, based on the Frank Miller graphic novel of the same name, focuses on these three qualities and delivers one of the most entertaining action movies in recent memory. The story is loosely based on the Battle of Thermopylae, where 300 Spartans held off the Persian army to allow a stronger army to form in defense of Greece. Read on »
